1. Data Controller

2. What data we collect
When you use the contact form we collect the data you provide: first name, last name, email address, company (optional), and the content of your message. When you use the AI infrastructure audit tool, the text you type is processed to generate a recommendation. Our hosting provider processes standard technical data (such as IP address and request logs) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
3. Why we process it
We process contact form data solely to respond to your enquiry and follow up on your request (legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Technical log data is processed in our legitimate interest to keep the service secure and available (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Who processes it on our behalf
The site runs on Cloudflare infrastructure. Contact form submissions are forwarded through Google services to reach our inbox, and the AI audit tool sends your input to the Google Gemini API to generate its response. Form submissions are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. These providers act as processors and do not use your data for their own purposes under our agreements with them.
5. Cookies and local storage
This site does not use advertising, analytics, or profiling cookies. We store your theme preference (dark/light) and a language-detection flag in your browser's local storage; these never leave your device.
6. Retention
Contact enquiries are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for any follow-up business relationship, after which they are deleted. AI audit inputs are not stored by us after the response is generated.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR (EU 2016/679) you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You can exercise these rights by writing to hello@bitwire.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali).
